USPA Mission Statement

USPA seeks to promote the art of soft pastel painting through open communications with USPA members and quality presentations by respected artists. Our aim is to educate, inspire and support our membership, while gaining public recognition and enhancing awareness of the pastel medium through our annual exhibitions.

I cringe when someone refers to pastels as chalk but it really grates when people call them crayons, as in "I just can't believe you can do that with crayons!" Are they referring to those waxy things children use? (Amanda McLean)

There are two ways to become a member of the USPA. download the PDF-version of our Membership Application, print it out, fill it out and mail it, along with the appropriate amount in the form of a check payable to USPA Pastel Society to:

USPA is a non-profit organization. It’s dues support and promote varied pastel venues. As such, members recognize that USPA cannot offer refunds, credits or exchanges. Dues are not prorated and apply only to the year in which they are paid. The year runs from July 1st of any given year to June 30th of the following year.
