USPA Mission Statement

USPA seeks to promote the art of soft pastel painting through open communications with USPA members and quality presentations by respected artists. Our aim is to educate, inspire and support our membership, while gaining public recognition and enhancing awareness of the pastel medium through our annual exhibitions.

The direct, colourful nature of pastels is ideal for capturing the qualities of immediacy, spontaneity and sparkle. (Patricia Greenwell)
