MEET EDE STREIFF -
AUGUST 12th DEMONSTRATOR
Our August 12th meeting at the El Toro Library will feature a demonstration by
USPA's own Ede Streiff. The meeting will start promptly at 6:30 pm.
Ede Streiff is a southern California artist
who loves to paint and be outdoors. She has
painted in oil previously, but more recently
has begun focusing on watercolor and pastel.
Painting is all about fun for Ede. She enjoys
the process of creating a new piece. As often
as she can, she paints on location. When
painting in her studio, she paints using photos
and sketches gathered from traveling to
various interesting places. She has enjoyed
painting trips to France and Italy, and has
studied with a variety of accomplished artists
at workshops in New Mexico, Arizona, and
locations along the west coast.
She is currently a member of: Huntington
Beach Art League, San Diego Watercolor
Society , Studio 250 & USPA, and is currently
represented by 'COPPERWOOD ARTWARE'.
In her own words: “Painting should be about
having fun! If something good is created,
great!”

The USPA
|
|
| |
The United Society of Pastel Artists (USPA) was founded by Lyndelle Stonick and Evgenia Gennaria
in 2006 with only 20 members. Tripling in membership in the past four years, the response to the organization has
been exciting, both in monthly meeting attendance, and in participation in the annual juried gallery
exhibition. Headquartered in Orange County, CA, the USPA is gaining recognition and popularity.
Sally Strand, a designated Master pastelist by the PSA, and Kamillia Hardy and Mary Aslin,
both highly respected artists, are three of our many outstanding members helping to
promote USPA's interest to a broad spectrum of recognized artists and the
general public alike.
Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. primarily at the El Toro
Library in Lake Forest, CA (location and time may vary). They feature paint-outs, modeled painting sessions,
demonstrations and lectures. All are encouraged to attend.
